‘End of the Mandate’ Scavenger Hunt

Abstract

This exercise will reinforce students existing skills in the realm of meaningful bookmarking of internet resources and introduce students to Library research. These skills will be essential for building a repertoire of talents; essential for a successful experience in IB History.

Essential Questions

What was the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry? What was UNSCOP? How did these institutions impact the end of the British Mandate Arab-Israeli Conflict? How can Internet-based and Library Database research improve a student’s understanding of the course content?

Tasks

• Log into your Del.icio.us account; you’ll bookmark all sites/documents you find useful.
• Search for, read, and bookmark at least two (2) sites and one (1) image related to the following terms:
• “UNSCOP“; “Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry” (you may also have to search for “Anglo-American Committee of Enquiry”
• Once you’ve completed these tasks, go to this lesson and complete the (complete outside of class if necessary)
