Hello, i’m glad you’re enjoying your leave so much, but I really don’t understand how I’m making a list with dependent variables on “scholarly articles” that are already about my dependent variable. It’s all rather confusing, considering I had trouble scraping up 10 “scholarly articles” that were somewhat related to my topic at all.
      Help?
can we have Sunday to work on it too, or is it due by Sunday?

Having a fun leave? I’m a little frazzled with what to do here, considering i had trouble scraping up 10 articles that were somewhat related to my topic at all. Now i’m supposed to create a list of the dependent variables for the articles on my dependent variable?

      I’m very confused, help?
Can we have sunday to work on it also, or is it due saturday night?

You only have to reply once….
Your research question, “In what ways did the PLO’s official change to a peaceful diplomatic policy benefit the Palestinian cause, and how did the terrorist acts performed by splinter groups serve to complicate the new policy?” is still far too complex. Choose one of these facets to focus on or refine your topic. The other question I have is…have you read Roselle and Spray? Have you been keeping up with the study guide? If not…then you need to catch up. Finally, the instructions read, “Make a list of all the independent variables you find in five (5) scholarly articles about your dependent variable (up to 5 points)” I suspect that the reason you’re having trouble is that your research project is still not that well defined. If you’ve defined a dependent variable, you’ll be able to list a few factors (variables) that may influence your dependent variable. From this list, then, you can do a simple review of the literature.
As per the instructions, the assignment is due on Sunday evening.

kay. and yeah, i decided to change the research question. It’s not official in the wording yet, but its going to involve how the use of aerial power effected the outcome of the 6 day war.

sorry for the double comment, it didnt post properly the first time and I couldnt understand why so I hit delete comment and reposted it. Obviously that didnt work.

so thanks, you’ve cleared things up a bit. enjoying the leave? Let me know how the world cup goes.

I also have another question on it; with the citations, do I need to use easybib, or can I just use the citation that JSTOR provides? If I have to use a specific format, what format do you want?

        • cgleek 19:10 on 05/12/2009 Permalink

These are the decisions that you are responsible for. Personally, I would use Easy Bib. As far as style format…again, this is your decision. Since you’ve already been taught MLA, I would stick with that.

Never a doubt; two class goals from Fletcher & Carrick, one deflection, but deserved, from Valencia.
