GIven many of yours (& my) dependence on Google Calendar, I’m modifying the old IB History calendar to become just for IB History HL1 and rolling out a new calendar for IB History HL 2

Going forward (hopefully) I can use this calendar as the exclusive venue for the Gleek a Glances (& stop doing double work in the process). Let me know what you would prefer: (a) calendar or (b) the weekly document.

    Afternoon Update-15 December

In addition, to anyone who has checked out books from my personal library, please return these to me before you leave for your holiday

HL2: Work in class today on Paper #3 Today’s music is brought to you via Catherine Wheel on Pandora

    8 December
    Morning Folks!

HL1: As outlined in the Gleek at a Glance we’ll be reviewing selected topics in Chapters 2 and 3 from the Roselle and Spray Study Guide. Remember, these research activities and study guide are for your benefit… Afterwards, we’ll have some quiet time in class to work on your research exercises and IAs.

HL2: We have a video lecture-”Stokely Carmichael Defines Black Power”-from Dr. Clayborne Carson’s African American History: The Modern Freedom Struggle course at Stanford University. Unlike the seminars that you’ll be taking in the fall, you’re welcome to bring popcorn to class today.

Also, if you take a look at the Course Calendar, I’ve already started taking appointments to work with individual students through some of the issues related to the IA. If you’re interested in one of these meetings, please make your appointment as soon as possible.

Don’t forget: both the Girls (5.00pm) and Boys (7.00pm) varsity soccer teams will be playing at home on Wednesday against district rivals Pompano HS. Come out and support your clubs

    /Gleek
